Rival Gaming
Rival Gaming must surely have plenty of rivals today, as it has been around for a long time as a provider of online casino and slot games. They are home to the Reel Crime series, plus an older series called As the Reels Turn, based on a soap opera of all things. Creativity is certainly there in huge quantities, as you’ll see here. We’re going to reveal some of our favorite Rival slots, while looking at other aspects of their outfit.
Which online casinos offer Rival slot games?
As usual, the first question to ask is which casinos you can enter where you live. There will be limitations for everyone here, so check the availability of sites in your country, state, or location first. You can then consider whether any of those provide Rival slot games. Some of the highlights you can check out include DuckyLuck Casino, Reel Fortune Casino, and SlotsandCasino.
Popularity and game features: What makes Rival slots tick?
They’ve managed to create lots of slot games that have proven successful over the years. Even some of the older titles still retain a certain charm – something that is essential given the dated graphics they now display. Many other outfits remove their older games from their collection, but we’re glad Rival Gaming hasn’t sought to do this.
They’re known for their simpler three-reel games along with the larger five-reel ones, so there’s something everyone can enjoy in the collection. And the modern games seek to retain that Rival feel of adding unusual elements to the gameplay.
Our selection of top 5 slots from the Rival Gaming collection
There are plenty to choose from over the years, so we have chosen some from the earlier days and gone right up to a recent release here as well. We’ll start with that one, revealing how far Rival has come.
Forest of Forbidden Treasures
What sort of treasures might reveal themselves in this forest? The dark and spooky setting uses a 3-4-5-4-3 format for the five reels, which means we have 720 ways to spot prizes.
There is a crystal ball scatter that can lead to some free spins, while the treasure chest is a special symbol. The character seen on the title screen is revealed to be a wild multiplier symbol for the middle reel, too.
Reel Crime: Coffin Up Cash
This is the latest in the Reel Crime series, and this episode has a distinctly Halloween-style theme. It’s not a shock to find we are in a graveyard at the start of the game, as the two criminals wander past with a spade, being chased by a ghost as they go.
The five-reel format sees coffins as the icon positions. You have a severed hand waving as the wild symbol, and a headstone as the Lock & Load icon that can lead to the free games.
Bigger Cash Win
This is the sensible title for the sequel to Big Cash Win. It’s a great example of a bright and engaging three-reel game from Rival. Expect bar symbols, lots of cherries, and some gold sevens as well.
The logo pulls its weight as the free spin icon though, so you need three of them to reach 15 of those games. A labeled wild can replace everything, yet it only lands on the middle reel.
Mythic Wolf Sacred Moon
Here’s another sequel – this time to the original Mythic Wolf slot. It’s a charming game to view and play, given the tones of blue appearing throughout. The running wolf carries a monster 5x multiplier as the wild symbol.
Expect the Northern Lights to appear behind the 3-4-5-4-3 formation of reels, with three or more scatters unlocking the free spins as usual. If you reach the free games, there is a chance of accessing the bonus round there as well.
Scary Rich
This is an older game from Rival, but it was the first in a three-episode series developed by the outfit. The graphics are now dated, of course, but it still offers some classic gameplay based on five reels and a series of spooky characters.
We’ve chosen it because the various gameplay elements we know and love from Rival are there from the start – albeit with a more basic look. Free games, expanding wilds, and wild multipliers are among the highlights.
Do they keep up with lots of new slot releases as well?
They do – we checked the official Rival Powered website ahead of writing this review and found several new titles there. Two were available now, while two others were confirmed to be coming soon, so there is always something new to try and to explore whenever you’re ready to try some of their freshest offerings.
Are you all set to experience what’s going on at Rival Gaming?
You can take quite a journey through time if you check out the full suite of games available from Rival. If you begin early in their collection, you’ll see the beginning of some of their series of games, including Reel Crime. You can then see how the graphics begin to improve over time, as some sequels begin to be released alongside newer independent titles.
Rival has always sought to keep up with trends in this marketplace. Indeed, we could say that it has started a few of its own. You’ll come to recognize the look and feel of some of its games as you begin to play a few of them. Their look may have changed over the years, but you will soon know what makes a brilliant Rival slot game. There are lots of them around, and the range is so vast that you are sure to find several favorite slots to play from this game studio. We certainly have.
